LUCKNOW METRO OBSERVES ‘NIRBHAYA CHETNA DIWAS’ IN COLLABORATION WITH WOMEN POWER LINE TEAM OF 1090

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation today observed “Nirbhaya Chetna Diwas” to emphasize woman safety particularly in Public Transport.

On this occasion, Director Operations Uttar Prades Metro Rail Corporation, Shri Sushil Kumar and A.D.G. Women Power Line Incharge Anju Gupta addressed some female students of Lucknow University for creating awareness about safety of women, women rights and their empowerment in all spheres of life.

An interactive train ride along with the Women Power Line team and students of Lucknow University was taken from Hazratganj Metro Station to IT Metro station and back as a part of awareness drive aimed at showcasing and providing the people of Lucknow a safe mode of transportation which caters to the needs of needy passengers, children, women, senior citizens and physically challenged.

In this ride ADG Anju Gupta, in-charge of 1090 asked a student of Lucknow University to check the working of emergency talk back system inside the train to show people its efficiency.
